We had a girls’s weekend getaway at an Airbnb cabin in Asheville, NC so I made goodie bags for everyone! I designed some illustrations inspired by the blue cabin we were staying in. Then had those printed on Spoonflower’s Eco Canvas fabric and sewed those into zip pouches. I found some North Carolina charms on Etsy and added those to the zippers. (more…)

Cocktails at the Cavalier Hotel in Virginia Beach
While visiting a friend of mine in Virginia Beach, she took me to the Cavalier Hotel. We sipped some fancy cocktails from the Raleigh Room while enjoying the unusually cool weather for a July afternoon. And I instantly felt as though I had stepped into the opulence of the 1920s with just a dash of modernity.

Highlights from Switzerland
We recently spent three nights in Switzerland and it wasn’t nearly enough time! We stayed in Lucerne, which sits amid snowcapped mountains on Lake Lucerne, and Mürren, which sits at the foot of the Schilthorn peak and is only accessible by cable car. (more…)

A Literary Walk Through Paris
I wish I could have done this walk during the day so I would have had better photos, but it was still amazing to knowingly walk the same streets as some of the literary greats. Points of interest include the homes of Gertrude Stein, Fitzgerald, Hemingway, and Orwell. I’ve added other points of interest as well such as Shakespeare & Company and the steps from Midnight in Paris. (more…)
