The bride got engaged in Paris so I wanted to do a French theme without it being too Bridesmaids. She and I are both huge Doctor Who fans so I decided to base the theme off of the episode The Girl in the Fireplace which takes place in the Palace of Versailles. Nobody else invited to the shower even knew what Doctor Who was so I wanted to keep those elements subtle.
- I designed the invitations which also included mock plane tickets.
- I had fabric printed from the pattern I designed for the back of the invites. I used this fabric to sew zip pouches for party favors.
- I made the pearl cat ear headbands, painted the champagne flutes, cut the crepe paper, and spray painted cardboard chandeliers.
- The miniature brownies, cucumber tea sandwiches, artichoke dip bites, cupcakes, and chocolate Eiffel Towers were all made from scratch and vegan.
